Artist's Comments

A project I'm working on in conjunction with fellow modder Nexus_Elite. He's currently porting Fallout 3 content to the source engine, and I suggested he headhack Breen's head onto Colonel Autumn's body. He asked if I could provide him with a reskin, to which I happily obliged.

This reskin wasn't rocket science, and only took me about 2 1/2 hours to do. This is due mainly to the the fact that Bethesda's texture work is pretty impressive and the skin itself was high-def to begin with. I basically gave it a recolor, added a leather texture to the overcoat, some new buttons and improved the normal maps.

Props to Bethesda and Valve for making great games, and to Nexus who did my request.

Some are WIP, others are finished with download links. And others like this Breen hack are unreleased Beta tests.

Welcome to the wonderful world that is the Garry's mod community, where modders more often than not could give a toss about legal ramifications.

This small hack is merely the tip of the iceberg. countless content from other games have been converted for use as well. And I doubt the righteous hammer of Bethesda softworks is going to come down on little old me for a small private modding project between friends.

BethSoft expressly forbids usage of any assets created for their games in any other game, even their own other games.

Afraid not. Right now it's a "beta test" between myself and Nexus_Elite while he hammers out model related bugs with the ragdoll. I've suggested that he do a Breen replacement, but I wouldn't expect it anytime soon.
